What if we grew metal ?
The LIFE-Agromine project aims to mine the ore differently. Instead of extracting the ore with a pickaxe, we let the plants handle it smoothly.
This method has three advantages compared with classical mining technics :
It encourages the ecosystem which is often destroyed by mining industry.
It allows to extract ore from unfertile soils.
It allows remediation of abandoned soils to agronomic functions.
